Charity Project : Dolls for Orphanage

We have charity project, making dolls for orphanage children. We made adorable dolls with simple pattern from Make it & Love it (Thank you Ashley, GBU!)
We had so much fun when we made these dolls and kids love them.
My friends who still have little children should make more then one doll, because their kids don't want to let go the first doll that their mom made for the charity.. hohohooo

So, I told moms to give their first doll to their own kid and then make a lot for others! ;)

My daughter made a boy and I made a girl dolls.

"Mom, my doll's shoes has different size, and their hands look weird!".
..That's fine sweetie, you have a perfect heart to share.. that's the important thing!

How cute she is.. She made me smile because she is really cute with her skirt.

And ribbons on her hair make her pretty... (We LOVE You) ..we want to share our love to the orphanage children.

We will collect dolls from our friends (Quilter and Crafters Indonesia) until 31st of March 2013.. I hope we can make a lot!

Here are some of them, I will posting them again later when new dolls arrive ;))

I Love You !

I woke up this morning. I did my routine activities such as preparing kids to go to school, checked my e-mail and Facebook account and looked at my to do list.. Oh, I have to finish up an appliqué block to complete my 7th row of Hearts for my Beautiful Life project.

My husband still in bed.. so I enjoyed my morning tea alone, and I started to sew. But it was too quiet here, so I turned on my laptop again then tried to find a nice song from Youtube.

Love by Nat King Cole .. it's really match song with my appliqué work ((:
When my husband woke up I already finished my work.. then I posted my appliqué picture on my Instagram and I wrote : No need to wait for next Valentine day to say "I love you".. and he liked it!

L is for the way you look at me
O is for the only one I see
V is very, very extraordinary
E is even more than anyone that you adore and

Love is all that I can give to you
Love is more than just a game for two
Two in love can make it
Take my heart and please don't break it
Love was made for me and you

Love was made for me and you
Love was made for me and you

Beautiful Life : Home Sweet Home

This 12" House block is going to be a 6th row in my "Beautiful Life" project.
I made a simple block, like my house :)

Home is the place where your heart will stay.

Home smells good because of cupcake and pie, fresh baked from the oven :)

Home feels warm because of a cup of coffee and tea :)

I will make cupcake, pie and cups with appliqué blocks to complete my 6th row.
I already made "Heart" paper piecing block for my 7th row, I'll posting it a day after tomorrow on Valentine day :)

Beautiful Life : Pets

The majority of people like having a pet in the house, but not me. I don't like any kind of pet. I don't like their smell and don't like to take care of them.. a lot of work to keep them at home.
My kids asked for a pet every single day since they were little. I always told them : "Yes, we can keep ant if you want a pet" (LOL).

But I changed, about 4 years ago I suddenly agreed when my kids and my hubby ask for a cat at the pet shop.. when I looked at the kitten eyes, I fell in love with this little creature. We named him "Master Yoda", and he has some babies from our friend's cat. But we gave them away, we only keep him. One is enough :))

One day, my daughter brought a little turtle. She called him "Kiddo". She keep him in her room. Having a pet to take care of will teach a child responsibility, and a pet is a friend for them.

When I was young, our neighbor left their dog when they move. My mom liked to keep him, his name was "Kincit". My mom took a good care of him. She fed him with our leftover food. She gave him a bath using one brand hair shampoo.. a famous brand and we never use that shampoo until now because it smelled like Kincit (LOL)

Back then again, still when I was young my dad has two chirping birds. He named his birds "Kamandaka"and "Kamandanu". If I'm not wrong those names are from Sundanese's folklore. Every weekend, I went with my dad to chirping bird contest.. He put the birds in the back of his yellow pickup car. I didn't understand about the contest, I just loved to go out with my dad.

Bunny the rabbit.. they are cute but I don't think I want to have them... too much work work work.
So all I can do to have them is to make this cute appliqué block. ;)

People say:
If you are as good as your pet believes you to be, you are probably a really good person.
